Walking the Labryinth
I have begun walking a different path, a labyrinth that spirals ever outward containing all the steps of my journey as circles within circles. Each new circle becomes a larger context in which to hold the previous one. Each completed circle claims and holds the territory around which the next is built. Walking this path has required lots of letting go and venturing into the unknown. In my life, just like in a labyrinth, I may not have the vantage point to see the larger pattern emerging. I simply must trust as and move forward in order to discover its beauty and mystery.

Diva ... With Children
I am stepping into the next chapter of my life with children – as a full-fledged Diva! Great thing is, I know that there is no greater gift to my children than to be 100% me because it gives them permission to be 100% them!

Embrace Your Inner Diva!
Diva-dom is not some unreachable destination meant for someone else – it is available to each of us the moment we begin to make conscious choices. Follow the “rules” (and whose rules are they anyway?) or follow your inner compass? The choice is always yours and the moment you are aware that your response is your choice, is the moment that the diva that you are awakens!

Ignite!
In a culture that worships science and idolizes the intellect, we have lost touch with one of the simplest tools to support ourselves in creating lives filled with meaning and passion, we have denied the power and potential carried in the body. We have begun to awaken to our spiritual needs and yet the triad remains incomplete until we consider the body as where the spiritual essence of us is housed. Many of us have been conditioned to believe that our bodies are somehow less sacred, a coarse representation of the spirit and something to be denied and overcome.

Sekhmet: An Invitation to our Evolution
I am circling cautiously around a glimpse of the Egyptian goddess, Sekhmet, her mythical bloodlust; her dual nature as destroyer and healer/creator. She is a full representation of feminine energy, not as we may have been taught about feminine energy but as an expression of the dichotomy of the feminine. She is at once soft, receptive and nurturing in addition to destructive, fiery, and in motion. As a metaphor for wholeness, she demonstrates that we are large enough to contain all the aspects of this energy, irrespective of our gender.

A New Perspective In Medicine
Our bodies deal with an amazing amount of information on a daily basis as they are engaged in all the processes necessary for life. Although present, our intellect plays no significant role in the processes of digestion, respiration, reproduction and so on. Since we also recognize the presence of information networks in the form of neuropeptides and electromagnetic fields, it stands to reason that these systems are capable of functioning or “thinking” without intellectual direction. By artificially and perceptually disconnecting the body from the mind, we have lost touch with a means of incredible resourcefulness in our lives. Its implications are staggering to our future health, wellness and evolution. The good news is that the disconnection is simply one of perception. A shift in perspective is all that is required to reconnect mind and body.
